Hello friends
Our walk today assured me winter is here. Back in the early 80's i took a one-credit phy. ed. class to fulfill my liberal ed. requirements at St Scholastica. i thought winter camping would be OK. NOT. We went to a camp near Ely on the coldest weekend of the year...temps. below zero and a wind chill factor the worst it had been all winter. We hauled our gear on sleds across a long lake, had to build a quinzy (a shelter of snow, hollowed out), etc. Long story short, i frost-nipped my fingers and have never been so miserable in all my life. My fingers have never been the same since, no matter how heavy my mitts are.
My fingers went numb today... Mino and i had fun just the same...

Midterm elections & the DFL 03
a summary from the DFL
As time marches on and the November 2026 midterm elections become ever closer, the DFL 03 organizing unit has been very busy. Planning and preparation for the upcoming February 3rd caucuses in our area has been proceeding. This year, as all of you understand, is probably the most important election year of our country's 250 year democracy. Whether the election is for the local soil and water conservation board or all the way to the U. S. Minnesota Senate election, they are all super important. And all of our efforts for the upcoming election start with attending our local caucus. So grab your coat and boots and show up at your local caucus site at 6PM Feb. 3rd. If you don’t know where to go on caucus night, find more information here: http://caucusfinder.sos.state.mn.us/
The recent November 4th election results resoundingly showed that the people around the country are NOT happy with the current administration and members of congress.
When Marjorie Taylor Green resigns, you know things are not well in the Republican Party.
And all the exit polls showed people are frustrated by ever rising grocery, child care, electric, and medical insurance costs.
This is because TARIFFS ARE A TAX! People are also preparing for their property tax statements that will hold double digit increases.
So to highlight the fact that these ever increasing costs are caused by the Republicans currently in power,
the 03 DFL organizing unit has initiated an ad campaign using electronic billboards.
One of the billboards is in Duluth and the other is in Virginia.
