A Map to Available Resources for You to Use
The Communication Committee will present a guided tour of the website and how to make good use of the resources available. You will have an opportunity to meet Kathy McTavish, website developer and volunteer. The Communication Committee will be looking for feedback for the newsletter and the website, so please do take a look at it before the meeting.
Social Security Affects Us All: What’s at Risk?
Featured Speaker: Brian Rohrenbach of the Minnesota Farmers Union, who is also a member of “Patriotic Chickens.” Patriotic Chickens is a Minnesota political action committee that believes that “good humans make good policy” and works to encourage voters to choose good humans when casting their votes. The discussion will focus on the scope and impact of Social Security on people of all ages and how currently proposed budget decisions will affect us.

Signs should include issues common to everyone like good jobs, enough money for food and healthcare, and a good education.
The Threat to Voting by the SAVE Act and President's Executive Order

Join Clean Elections MN for a conversation with Secretary of State Steve Simon and Deirdre Schifeling, the ACLU's National Political Advocacy Director, to discuss the threats to voting.
Tornado warnings delayed because of 600 DOGE cuts to the National Weather Service
Some offices can no longer operate 24 hours/day; some are no longer answering phone calls. Tornados come on rapidly with little warning, and residents in the path damaging winds may not receive notice in time. At least 28 people were killed this last week, and severe weather is expected to continue with an above-normal hurricane season coming up in two weeks.
Democracy isn't a spectator sport. Call your MAGA rep and hold them accountable for gutting the National Weather Service! Your tax dollars pay their salaries.
