Proposed Cuts to Medicaid and CHIP would cut funding in MN District 8 by $1.9 billion, taking support from the poorest families and children with the fewest resources. 151,639 constituents in our district are covered by Medicaid and CHIP, and 30,000 could be dropped by the rolls.

President Donald Trump goes after Democrats' fundraising

5 Calls makes it easy for you to reach your members of Congress and make your voice heard. They research issues, write scripts that clearly articulate a progressive position, figure out the most influential decision-makers, and collect phone numbers for their offices.
All you have to do is call."
Inspirations
Room for maybe more than mild optimism
A federal judge ruled yesterday that Trump’s usage of the Alien Enemies Act to deport Venezuelan immigrants from South Texas was “unlawful.” U.S. District Judge Fernando Rodriguez Jr., a Trump appointee, made the first of its kind ruling. Rodriguez wrote that the president’s invocation of the act "exceeds the scope of the statute and is contrary to the plain, ordinary meaning of the statute's terms."
Lots of people turned out for protests across the Range and the state
Just for fun!
Don't miss this great music!
If you love to sing, play, or listen to music, you don’t want to miss this program at local libraries. Charlie is a homegrown Minnesotan musician singing about our water, history, and lives. He brings a program of songs and stories unequaled in Minnesota authenticity.
Watch a video of a Husky playing around with a couple wolves.
And this baby elephant having the time of his life in a pool.
